About Us
James Chris Design Build was founded in 2016 by Terry McMahan. Having spent nearly ten years as a home builder in the DFW metroplex, Terry took his passion for construction and opened his own full-service design and build residential remodeling and contracting company.
JCDB is based in McKinney, TX and serves the greater DFW areas, including McKinney, Plano, Frisco, Allen, Dallas, Irving, Southlake and even as far north as Sherman and Denison. We take the utmost pride in our work, and are committed to excellence and providing our customers with hands-on high quality work.

About Terry McMahan
James Chris Design Build was founded by Terry McMahan in 2016. Terry is a third-generation home builder, born with a natural passion for building and construction.
A Florida native, Terry spent his childhood in the Ft. Myers area and went on to graduate with a Business Degree from the University of Central Florida in Orlando.
Terry and his wife Amanda, of fifteen years, have two children, Riley and Blake and reside in McKinney, Texas.
Terry enjoys spending time outdoors with his family, including their dog Major, and also spends his free time fishing and golfing.
